Forgive us. We are under construction.
From Typhoon is an art embodiment of the storm’s power to transport and transform. Species, debris, chemicals, dreams and ideas have all been taken in the winds of typhoons to settle elsewhere. We are committed to art that wrestles with the liminal space of the diaspora, art which is a direct function of our human ability to make and remake home(s) wherever the boundaries of our bodies and psyches find us.
We are a new gallery in Seattle run by two Queer brown creatives, Robinick Fernandez and J.A. Dela Cruz-Smith. Robinick is an artist-designer whose roots originate in the Philippines and J.A. is a poet whose family is from Guahan.
As artists serving artists, we understand the physical and intellectual labor that goes into the creation of art. We want to utilize our combined experiences in design, publishing, advocacy, and creative education to strengthen our community of artists. Through thoughtful programming, collaborative curatorial relationships, and care for the artists we work with, we live at the intersection of radical joy and critical discourse.
